It’s OK to leave a drop in the ocean

Swimmers in the sea enjoy the surf at Padstow

Holidaymakers who get caught short and urinate while
swimming in the sea may be helping marine life to thrive.
The American Chemical Society says that....
a number of compounds
required by plants for optimal growth are found in urine.
The quantity of urine left by holidaymakers is comparatively minuscule.
The fin whale excretes almost 1,000 litres daily; the average human
produces 1.5 litres on dry land.
Stuar Jones, a biochemist at King George Hospital, London, Said:
"Without, the effect of urine nitrogen, many plant species coyld not surnive."
