Τιμάται η σύλληψη της Υπεραγίας Θεοτόκου από την Αγία Άννα 
σε πολύ προχωρημένη ηλικία.
Το γεγονός προανήγγειλε στην Αγία ο Αρχάγγελος Γαβριήλ.

The Conception by St. Anna of the Holy Theotokos.
On this day the Church commemorates the conception 
of the Theotokos by Anna (her mother) at a very old age although 
he was sterile. 
God sent the Archangel Gabriel to announce the great event to Anna.
